Have something to say?
Notification for user availability + setting to turn this off or on.
As a boardowner / teamleader, it would be helpful to receive a notification when a teammember (board user) inputs their availability via My Schedule. I have a small team, with volunteers who choose when they want to roster themselves - both the day and the hours. To have them indicate their availability and for me to receive a notification of this would be immensely helpfull. I understand that for teams of 100s of people, this would create 100s of notifications. That is why the request is also about a setting to turn this on or off so people can choose based on their need.
Admin trigger calendar sync
Allow admins to sync Soon to the calendar on behalf of all or specific employees
Location / Sub Location Filter
What would also be very helpful is a location filter, similar to the other filters in the top menu. [status] [role] [people] [location/sublocation]
AI Assistant
We start implementing our AI Agent on the Intraday planning view. You tell the AI assistant what activities you want to schedule in natural language and it will do this for you.
Daily/Weekly/Monthly View improvements
New feature : This view below coud benefit from a new feature : choosing from more types of views and storing a default one. It could be location oriented / shifts oriented : left panel locations or shifts, on the right : same calendar view with assignees badges over shift details. Would help seeing a week from another perspective, shift or location oriented, helping make other decisions. Improvements : More assignee oriented statistics (monthly planned hours so far / weekly…) Quick Editing shifts from this view or link to datacard in the main view Have the option to spread shifts on separate lines, could be location oriented per assignee sorting options (location, length, name, quantity of assignee hours maybe others) working hours view : the option to change the scale of what you see on the right by showing a specific time frame (defined in board preferences for instance) :D
Collaborative Scheduling Notes
Scheduling Notes lets you organize and manage notes by day, week, month, year, or as floating (dateless) notes. You can reply to and resolve notes, making it easy to track tasks and collaborate with your team.
Availability based on connected calendar
By connecting your calendar, you can choose whether your availability is based on the events and working hours in your connected calendar or the settings in "My Schedule".
Archive Schedule Boards
Boards can be archived to keep your workspace tidy and relevant. Archived boards are hidden from the active view but can be accessed if needed later.
Multiple Availabilities on My Schedule
We wished to have multiple availabilities on our schedule. For example, we would want to open our schedule from 9 am to 11 am and 2 pm to 6 pm. We hope Soon can add this feature soon!
Advanced Auto-Fill Constraints
Ensuring a work schedule adheres to compliance requirements is crucial to prevent overworking employees. This involves providing sufficient rest periods, limiting consecutive workdays, and preventing excessive daily shifts. Managing these compliance rules can be challenging, as it's easy to inadvertently schedule an employee too early or for too many consecutive days, resulting in a non-compliant schedule. Soon offers a solution to this complexity with its Auto-Scheduler feature, which introduces three new constraints designed to maintain schedule compliance: Maximum Consecutive Days: This constraint ensures an employee does not work beyond the allowed number of consecutive days. Soon guarantees that after a set sequence of workdays, an employee will have at least one full day off. Minimum Rest Time Between Shifts: To prevent scheduling issues such as assigning an evening shift followed by an early morning shift the next day, this constraint ensures a minimum rest period between two shifts for an employee. Maximum Events Per Day: For schedules involving multiple shifts in a day, this constraint is crucial to limit the number of shifts an employee can work, ensuring no one exceeds the set maximum. By leveraging these constraints, Soon's Auto-Scheduler enables planners to create compliant schedules effortlessly, removing the complexity of manually ensuring adherence to these important rules. Starting today, teams subscribed a Business or Enterprise plan can access these new scheduling constraints. If your team isn't on one of these plans yet, consider upgrading to take advantage of these updates and more features to come.
Recurring Required Activity Values
The feature request is for Soon to allow users to set recurring required activity values for specific days of the week, while still maintaining the ability to adjust required activity staffing for specific dates as currently possible. With this feature, users can select a day (e.g., every Monday), set the required activity values for that day, and have the system automatically apply those values every week. To ensure that past values remain untouched, the system will prompt users to adjust all days when an update is made, only for future days, or just the current day. This way, users can easily make adjustments without worrying about accidentally overwriting past data. This feature will improve the efficiency of setting required activity values for recurring days, while preserving the accuracy and integrity of past data.
Add Support for Viewing Outlook and Google Calendar Events in the Workload View on Mobile
Add the ability to view Outlook and Google calendar events in the Workload view on Soon mobile. This would be especially useful for admins or planners who need to oversee everyone's schedule and synced shared events. It would greatly enhance the app's convenience for a large number of users. Thanks for considering this feature request!
Ability to Rearrange Boards
Currently, there is no way to rearrange boards once they have been created in Soon. This can be inconvenient for users who have created multiple boards out of order and would like to rearrange them to improve organization and efficiency. Additionally, some users may find it helpful to have the ability to star certain boards or view recently viewed boards for quick access. We propose implementing a feature that allows users to rearrange their boards as needed, whether by enabling users to click and drag the boards to reorder them, adding an option to a board's settings to change its position in the list of boards, or through another solution. Additionally, implementing features such as starring boards or showing recently viewed boards could also provide valuable organizational tools for Soon users. Providing these functionalities would allow users to more easily organize and access their boards, improving their workflow and overall experience with Soon. We appreciate your consideration of this feature request and would be happy to provide further details or clarification as needed.
"Users by Board" Option for Leave Management
Currently, Leave is a team-wide feature in Soon, and a board is not specifically needed for leave management to work. However, it would be beneficial to have a "Users by Board" option that would allow users to be grouped together based on the boards they are visible on. These groups would only consist of users who are set to "Visible" on a particular board. While it's important to note that users can be on different boards, having this feature would reduce the need to manage user groups separately for leave management purposes. However, we acknowledge that there may be some confusion in cases where a user should be visible on multiple boards, and each board has its own leave manager. Implementing a "Users by Board" option would provide an additional layer of organization and flexibility for leave management within Soon. We appreciate your consideration of this feature request and would be happy to provide further details or clarification as needed.
Enhancing Collaboration with 'Can Comment' Board Access Rights
If a user has "Can comment" board access rights, they can comment on any event and see unread comment indicators for all events, regardless of whether they are scheduled for them or not. Additionally, any unread comments specific to a board will be displayed in the user's inbox. This ensures that users with the appropriate access can stay informed and engaged with all relevant discussions, regardless of their scheduling status.
Time-off In-Lieu Balance Feature
Please add the ability to have a time-off in-lieu balance. If the employee works over 40 hours a week they get a credit and if they work less they get a debit (can go negative to offset future periods)
Double Pay Public Holidays
Please add the ability to set double pay for public holidays and the ability for employees to request extra pay for them.
Hide or don't show any colleagues on events in My Schedule
We don't want employees to see who else is working on their shifts. Reason is they will call in sick when they see there are already enough people working their shift.
