It would be nice to see who worked on specific holidays the years before. To make it fairer for the whole team that people rotate.

All holidays
Or have a quick way to see how many official holidays people are working. to get a good distribution amongst the team throughout the year.

Either way, track who has worked holidays

    Potential implementation method: flag certain shifts as 'Extra' or 'Holiday'. Maybe even have a field called 'Shift Type' where you can type your own label.

    Then you could add a report to see hours or shifts worked by shift type per year / month / week.

    This would allow for a variety of tracking... who took more weekend shifts? Who took the overnight shifts? Who was on call? Who volunteered to do the bank runs? Holidays are just one kind of crappy shift, but many jobs have other crappy shifts that you want to ensure are being evenly distributed.
